Low and behold my surprise when I replied to an email about the Disney and Prima Toys Emoji campaign only to find out that it was actually for my son and not me! Needless to say he was absolutely bowled over to have someone approach him on a social media campaign.
He was so excited that his response was a video proposal!
Mickey and Minnie has since accompanied us on so many outings – the wetlands, the beach and even our Sunday morning coffee chat, even though he made it clear that “campaign talk” was off limits as it was our mom-son time. Of course I managed to snap him squishing away with Ariel in his hands – his favourite out of all the Disney Emoji toys.
Why? He loves the squishys – great sensory calming while waiting for his hot chocolate or while watching a movie and waiting for the Wi-Fi to connect. And the texture is so soft and well, squishy!
This has also been a great experience for him in understanding what it really means to be an “influencer” even though he prefers to use the term YouTuber. It requires commitment to deadlines, understanding the client brief while still having fun – exploring like only a child can.
My favourite is Minnie though, she is just so cute – and I can imagine her adorning colourful kids rooms this holiday season.
