I Am A Student Again

Some of you may recall that I’ve been considering part time studies?

Well, I applied for re-admissions to UNISA and was accepted in December to continue with my studies. This time I’ve changed course from Specialization in Psychological Counseling to a General BA majoring in Psychology and Communication Science.

I’ve only registered for 3 modules this year, but it’s a start! I’m super excited to be studying again, especially considering that it complements everything that I’m currently involved in. My paid job, my volunteer work and my writing!

My first exam is in May and then another one the Friday before I leave for Austria and then my third exam is in November, my busiest period at work!

With all the changes in January, Kai’s not settled into the school routine yet, so I’m giving it this week and then we both have to get back into the swing of routine and limiting the amount of after-hours work for the office.

“When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of stress and anxiety; If I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me without pain. From this I understand what is looking for me, and what’s more attracting me. There is a great secret here for anyone who can grasp it.” – Rumi

I am so very excited and my goal is to complete this degree the same year my son completes Primary School. For the first time in many years I am finally doing something for me. Something that will enrich my life and thirst for knowledge and understanding!
