Let’s Pause; and Listen

I saw this post this morning, and immediately I thought of my dearest friend, and some of the challenges she’s faced in her life.20150709_130850-1

I thought of her beautiful spirit, and how, even though she is one of the most amazing people I know, she still struggles with depression; the emotional scars that haunts her to this very day.

I thought of my own life, that time when I experienced the euphoric freedom that came with the knowledge, that “Living a Life Worth Loving” is a decision that only I could make!

So, I walked up to The Tattoo Lounge, laid my head down on the bed, and inked my ear; one of the most powerful tools we have, the ability to LISTEN. Sometimes this is all that is needed!

Everyday I am surrounded by people who could very easily have ended their journey; but instead they paused and someone listened…

As of today, I walk around with a reminder to always reflect on my very personal journey, and to never falter in my love and support for my dear friend, as she continues to edge towards being victorious!

“A semicolon is used when an author could’ve chosen to end their sentence, but chose not to. The author is you and the sentence is your life.”
