Thank You

Carol Mestern is one of the most amazing speech and language therapists I know. Her family centred approach really helped me in continuing therapy at home. Together we helped Kai develop his auditory, speech and language skills. Kai started therapy with Carol in 2011 and graduated in 2016! She also assisted me with my niece who needed therapy in 2015. She is absolutely amazing - she introduced me to parent advocacy!

The NB Hearing team embraced not only me, but also my son, and later my entire family! A referral from the States in 2013, which developed into a beautiful parent/professional partnership in managing my son's audiology needs pro-bono since 2013! Natalie took this further by motivating on two occassions to Widex to assist with technology in the form of hearing aids. I have immense gratitude for Natalie and her team at NB Hearing.

I am so grateful for the guidance and support received from the Psychologist at the Neurodiversity Centre. Helping me better understand my own challenges as well as my son's while embracing our neurodiversity as autistic individuals and acknowledging that our norm may not always be understood by others. We live an evolutionary life outside the box of conventional norms and standards.

In 2016, I enquired about a personal FM system for my son. They then rocked our world by DONATING a brand new pair of hearing aids to Kai, which was more compatible with the latest FM technology! His first pair of hearing aids was also a donation from Widex in 2013 before he went to mainstream school. Their generosity has been unbelievable!
