Kai’s Blog | My First Surf

Today I went surfing for the first time and it was awesome!

The water was freezing cold, but my toes felt okay. My surfing coach is really good, his name is Paul and he taught me to use the nose of my board to go over the wave. He also taught me how to stand on my board and he helped me when big waves came.

It was so awesome when I caught a wave and stood up on my board! My mom told me it was a left that I caught, because I moved to my left.

My surfing coach also knows my dad and they’ve been surfing for more than 30 years!! I just want to surf, but my mom will have to get me a thicker wetsuit. Please mom?

You know what is also great, I can now give my mom tips because she surfs with moms on board, but she don’t have a coach like I do, and she’s never stood on her board like I did today for my first time.

I can feel surfing is in my blood, I like it! I just want to surf surf surf and surf surf surf!
