Pick Me, Pick Me!

Badger weight

Badger went from weighing 450g to 2.5 kg in 24 days!

I met him on a cold and windy day on the beachfront, this wee-little rescued pup, a ball of mange, too weak to carry his own body weight, only 450grams!!

Surviving, feeling his mommy’s heartbeat!

We weren’t sure if he would survive the weekend, but his foster mom and dad had faith! They took him in, ensured specialist veterinary attention and with each visit, weeks apart, I could see profound improvement! His coat started to shine, his eyes no longer had that sick weeping look. He could take a few steps without falling over, and he started gaining weight…

Badger today! A boisterous puppy, despite having a hernia, internal bruising, coccidia, mange, inverted eyelashes and deteriorating sight!

Today, I look at him, his name, a reflection of the boisterous puppy that he is. Badger, “to be relentless, persistent, to get under someone’s skin”, and this is exactly what this miraculous little being is capable of. He gets under your skin, he is a lovable ball of shiny fur, he runs circles around you and loves to play.

This pup, is slowly losing his sight, but my golly, is he a survivor! Today I urge YOU to PICK HIM!

Badger, has been entered for the Muizenberg Festival Dog of the Year contest. Your LIKE can secure him this most deserving title! Dog of the Year!  PLEASE click here, and like his entry on the Facebook Page.  Thank you!
